The Singapore Discovery Centre is the place to visit to understand the Singapore Story and history through entertainment and interactive activities. The Singapore Discovery Centre is a world-class edutainment attraction for Singaporeans and overseas visitors alike. Spanning a total floor area of 4,500 square metres, the Singapore Discovery Centre consists of 5 main galleries around 8 different themes.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the serenity of a beautiful lake where you can take photos to bring home the memories. This lake is used for fishing during special events and also for leisure pedal-boating.
There are wide range of interactive exhibits that not only your child and the entire family will enjoy and should not miss. Among these, there is one that let you design tanks and ships. Another one gives you a virtual-reality experience of becoming an Airborne Ranger where you need to parachute from a plane and manipulate your landing to safety. There is also a motion simulator where your seat will move in tandem with the fighter pilot on the screen.
Something not to miss is the firing range. The Shooting Gallery use computer-simulated combat fighting scene and real but modified SAR21 rifles or SIG Sauler P226 Pistol giving you an experience closer to real life combat scenarios. My children loves this air-conditioned indoor shooting range that test their marksmanship. It has 4 lanes of computerized simulated shooting range.

One of its many highlights is the world's first and largest team-based interactive "design studio". The Visionarium is a gigantic globe and has a 360-degree wrap around screen inside. In each session, up to 120 people are encouraged to make creative choices to turn Singapore into one of the best cities in the world to live, work and play in. The final design is presented on the wrap around screen.

Other exhibits include:
- Gateway: This exhibit uses 3 elements - Fire, Earth and Wind to present Singapore's history in a provocative, edgy and raw fashion.
- So Singapore Theatre: What makes Singapore 'So Singapore'?
- On Location Reporter: Guests can experience the thrill of broadcast journalism at this very exciting exhibit.
- Security Pavilion: Security Pavilion provides the big picture on why Singapore cannot take security for granted.
- Unity Pavilion: Unity Pavilion features a fast-paced quiz trivia show, insightful nuggets and hands-on games.

When you are tired of walking, there is a iwerks Theatre which is one of Singapore's largest flat screen theatre showing 2D and 3D giant screen movies. It has a 5-storey high screen with excellent sound system. It has 344 seats which offer true cinematic and realistic movie experience.
A new addition to the Singapore Discovery Centre is the XD Theatre. It boasts the latest technology in 4D simulation ride and carries a state-of-the art patented technology that boast up to 2G's of acceleration and 100 movements/seconds excitements. However, your child must be > 1.2 m and above 5 years old to play this really cool simulation.
